The case of Murali Manohar Joshi was more pathetic. He was never a person of contention in the eyes of Shah and Modi. Vajpayee passed away in 2018 at the age of 94. Both Advani and Joshi have remained moot spectators and nobody would dare to talk about them in the presence of Modi.

He was elected twice from Nagpur Parliamentary Constituency and a Central Minister for Water resources and River Development, Shipping, Rural Development and MSME and Road Transport and High Ways. He has been an easy-going person and liked by one and all in the Party. His kind of personality does not suit to the likes of Modi. He is being ceremoniously kept out of the contest for the post of Prime Ministership if some untoward situation arises in 2024 as being perceived in the citadels of power in the party ranks and file. He was not nominated to the Rajya Sabha and he was also side tracked. He is in charge of Telangana State.

She was Chief Minister of Rajasthan from 2009 to 2019. She was made a Senior Vice President of the Party when the BJP lost elections to the Congress. She has been in hibernation since then. She was neither brought to the Centre as a Minister nor offered any Rajya Sabha membership. She has been side lined by Modi, fearing that she might be a challenge to his position. Second grade leaders have been promoted to counter her. She refuses to be downgraded and is now a front runner for the post Chief Minister of Rajasthan but Modi is inclined.

Modi apprehensions are that she may embark on his personality assassination any time and he is keeping her aloof.

A poet, a columnist and writer and controversial politician due to his fierce remarks on Indian Muslims and the youngest General Secretary of Bhartiya Janata Party. Of late he subdued himself from making any hate speeches. Modi thinks that he may create trouble for him any time. So, he is keeping him away.

A former Speaker of Lok Sabha and a six-time Member of Lok Sabha and was the longest serving women member of Parliament. She held various Ministries such as Human Resource Development, Communications, Information Technology, Petroleum and Natural Gas. He does not want to take any risk with her.
Sanjay Joshi

Sanjay Joshi was a canvasser of Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh. He joined BJP Gujarat in 1988. He was a grass root worker of the mass. He worked with Narendra Modi as a Secretary, BJP
Joshi became the General Secretary of BJP in Gujarat. Modi grumbled that Sanjay Joshi was man behind his expunge from Gujarat. In 2001 Modi became Chief Minister. Since then, Modi was watching the actions of Joshi.
In May 2012, Joshi was forced to resign from the BJP Executive. The RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was displeased at the treatment meted out to Joshi. Since then, Joshi had been expressing his apprehension on his safety Joshi. He sought security from the Home Ministry. However, many a time he could praise the leadership of Narendra Modi.
Nitin Gadkari made Joshi as Coordinator for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections and appointed him to the BJP National Executive. Modi did not digest it. Joshi was forced to resign from the National Executive. Some unanimous posters appeared in Ahmedabad euolyging Joshi and showing Modi in bad light.
The slur between Joshi and Modi continued when an audio cassette and a VCD was released on the media showing Sanjay Joshi in a compromising situation with a woman. He resigned from the BJP General Secretary post. Later it was proved to be fake. It was alleged that it was the handy work of his opponents to mar his personality.
He had been carrying all these grudges over the years which might burst any time on Narendra Modi. Modi has now managed to win the elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. The spurt could fall any time on Narendra Modi before the next general elections in 2024.
Rajiv Pratap Rudy

He is from Bihar and in hibernation since 2019. His stature is assumed to be a stumbling block to Narendra Modi. In Modi’s scope of things, he might be a trouble shooter for him at times of need. He had aligned with the then Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar.
He was the Minister of State for Commerce, Trade & Industry and a Civil Aviation Minister with independent charge in the National Democratic Alliance government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Rudy had also held the post of National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. He was the General Secretary and member of the BJP National Executive. Narendra Modi had always been scared of anybody who is educated and smart
Praveen Togadia

Togadi, an RSS volunteer in Ahmedabad and was a colleague of Narendra Modi. He was in VHP in 1983 and Modi was into the BJP in 1984. They were responsible for growth of BJP in Gujarat. When Shankersinh Vaghela jailed Togadia, Modi worked for his release. Togadia was appointed as the General Secretary of the VHP at the national level. When Modi was expelled from Gujarat, Togadia lent him support. Modi became the Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2001. Togadia supported him.
In January 2002, it was alleged that Togadia, VHP and Bajrang were involved 2002 Gujarat riots. Togadia fell apart from Modi after the December 2002 Gujarat elections. Madi was also forced to curtail him for the activities of VHP. Togadia campaigned against Modi. In October 2003, Ashok Singhal vacated VHP, Togadia was appointed as the International Working President of VHP.
Togadia resigned as International Working President of the VHP in April 2018, when his candidate had lost an internal election to the post of VHP President. He then launched a new organisation, called the International Hindu Parishad. Fearing Togadia’s activism, Modi kept him away, thus virtually eliminating him from the BJP connection.

Sundry leaders umpteen. To mention a few – Uma Bharati, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Shahnawaz Hussain etc. All these leaders are in oblivion searching for their lost glory. Modi is known for his vindictive and destructive ways throughout his career. Whoever comes in his way is sure to be trampled upon by all his means at his disposal. No doubt he is the greatest eliminator of opponents from his party. The Opposition parties are being hounded or jailed by the misuse and overuse of agencies like Enforcement Directorate, Income Tax or Central Bureau of Investigation. The ensuing election in 2024 would be a deciding factor and a new chapter would open in the political history of India. Let us wait and watch.
