Midterm elections – Narendra Modi will not give up power- he is destined to be disgraced. Election Commission of India on 16th August, 2024 announced schedule for elections in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir. But it did not announce elections for Maharashtra and Jharkhand which are due. This act of deviance, indicates the hidden agenda of Narendra Modi that he would not like to face defeats in Maharashtra and Jharkhand.
Jharkhand is being destabilised and Champai Soren, the former Chief Minister is being enticed to join BJP along with his supporters on the pressure of Enforcement Directorate. BJP wants to grab power in Jharkhand, one of the mineral triangle states like Chhattisgarh, Odisha so as to hand over the forest and mineral assets to Adani.
Narendra Modi has been propagating one nation one election which has reiterated from the ramparts of Independence Day but failed to keep his promise when the Elections Commission was not ready hold all the elections due including about 40 assembly bye-elections at a time, which have fallen due.
He was also planning to hold elections in Bihar under the pressure of Nitish Kumar. The schedule for ten Assembly elections that are due in Uttar Pradesh has not been announced for the same reason. The bye election of Wayanad was also not announced. Narendra Modi would never like to face a two-pronged attack in Parliament from Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, if she gets elected.
He is so scared that he would not like to continue on the crutches of Chandra Babu Naidu and Nitish Kumar. It might be possible that after 4th October, 2024, the date for declaration of the results of the notified elections, he might go for mid-term poll to assert himself as the undisputed leader of the country, assuming that he would win a comfortable majority in the mid-term elections.
Narendra Modi lost the 2024 Elections and subsequent state elections. Defeats in Ayodhya (Faizabad), Chitrakoot, Ramtek, Nashik, and Badrinath (Assembly) is a significant blow. How could Narendra Modi, regarded by some as an incarnation of God, fail to secure victories in constituencies of places of worship? He managed only 240 seats, falling short of an absolute majority in Parliament.
In Uttar Pradesh, stated to be stronghold of Hindutva, his performance was abysmal, with only 33 seats compared to 62 in the previous elections. The CSDS Survey indicated a decline in his popularity to 32%, while Rahul Gandhi’s charisma surged to 36%. Furthermore, a supporter in Uttar Pradesh threw footwear at you in your convoy. Parliamentary debate viewership hit a record.
There is a temporary truce between Yogi Adityanath and Amit Shah due to the ten Assembly by-elections in UP and upcoming Assembly elections in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir. Manipur is in turmoil for two years, and Jammu & Kashmir is facing a surge in terrorist attacks targeting security forces. Despite not contesting the 2024 Parliamentary elections in Jammu & Kashmir, Narendra Modi managed to secure two seats with external support. Across the country, particularly in Bihar, bridges and flyovers are collapsing at an alarming rate.

The Opposition demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee to probe on the investments of the SEBI Chairperson and her husband. The Congress urged a so moto by Supreme Court of India since the latest report reveal that the SEBI had submitted a wrong statement before it.
Midterm elections – Narendra Modi will not give up power- he is destined to be disgraced – General Conditions demand
Midterm elections – Narendra Modi will not give up power- he is destined to be disgraced. RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat expressed that arrogance would be detrimental to democracy. Major industrial figures are shifting allegiances, with the Ambani visiting Sonia Gandhi. Notably, Narendra Modi was not among list of hosts for their wedding, yet he visited their mansion to bless the newlyweds.
Recent State Assembly elections have not been favourable for Narendra Modi. Mamata Banerjee captured three Assembly seats from BJP in West Bengal, and the Congress outperformed him in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
Nitish Kumar is in dilemma now. He wanted advancing of Bihar elections, on the promise of which he shifted sides with Narendra Modi. Now with the proposal of mid-elections Nitish Kumar’s fate hangs in balance.
Chandra Babu Naidu would also be irked by the idea of mid-terms poll. He could manage sixteen Parliamentary seats followed by two to Jana Sena Party of Pawan Kalyan. He would not like to lose these seats in the proposed mid-term elections.
Naveen Patnaik would be happy to go for mid-term poll hoping that he might get some seats since he had not won any MP seat in 2024 elections. Opposition would be too happy to go for mid-term elections to improve its tally from 235 to 290 as had been projected by Mallikarjuna Kharge in the last elections.
Congress would also be glad to go form mid-term poll because it would like to improve its performance in Karnataka, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bihar etc. It would like to strive better its present tally from 99 to 150.
Bhartiya Janata Party’s disgruntled elements led by Mohan Bhagwat, the supremo of Rastriya Swayam Sevak Sangh would wish that Narendra Modi is eliminated so that a new leadership would emerge to take on the resurgent India on its Hindutva agenda. RSS thinks that Narendra Modi’s coterie – Amit Shah, J.P. Nadda have personalised the party for achieving their ends. It wants to save the party from these elements to achieve its larger agenda.
Midterm elections – Narendra Modi will not give up power- he is destined to be disgraced – Economic scenario
Midterm elections – Narendra Modi will not give up power- he is destined to be disgraced. Unemployment is soaring, prices are spiralling, farmers are protesting, and youth are taking to the streets over NEET leaks. Agniveers feel betrayed, and there is despair, disappointment, and disorder throughout the country.
Narendra Modi now wants to be disgraced, defamed, dethroned, and politically incapacitated by electorate by going for midterm poll. He has to have some decency, decorum for making himself an honourable and ceremonious exit by the people of India.
He wants leave resentfully but not respectfully. He would like to assert himself and not to accept the verdict of the people. He was tolerated for ten years, leaving a remarkable and irreparable damage to Indian democracy. He would be remembered for communal disharmony, resentment among Muslims, Hindu chauvinism, mandir-masjid clashes, and inflammatory outbursts.
Midterm elections – Narendra Modi will not give up power- he is destined to be disgraced- Dissent within
Midterm elections – Narendra Modi will not give up power- he is destined to be disgraced. Suvendu Adhikari, a BJP leader of West Bengal declared that Modi should banish the slogan “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.” His new slogan is “Jo Hamara Saath Hai Hum Uske Saath Hain” (We support only those who support us), and “Abolish Minority Morcha.” He voiced the views of Narendra Modi. He had not allotted a single Parliament seat to any Muslim because it was not his policy. The nation’s economy is held hostage by a small group of businessmen and industrialists, some of whom have fled the country while others await a viable exit.
Narendra Modi is not able appoint his own choice as the President of Bhartiya Janata Party. RSS and some elements within the BJP do not want the nominee of Gujarat lobby. Narendra Modi is desperate to disturb Siddaramaiah in Karnataka when Governor granted permission to prosecute him on a private members appeal.
The case of Champai Soren is that he is being persuaded to join BJP. The Government’s decision to allow forty lateral entrants at the level of Secretaries where government servants are not allowed to apply and there is no reservation policy in these appointments which will strengthen the hidden agenda of Narendra Modi for scrapping reservations. The stake holders would surely resist this move. (End of Part-I)
